Dresdner Künsterpuppen have delighted children all over the world for more than 90 years. They are hand made cloth hand puppets that portray many different characters. Their heads are made of tricot that is shaped by a special stuffing and pulling technique that brings their characters to life. Their mouths, noses and eyes are hand embroidered, painted and the eyes are then finished with a bead.

Our charming example was made somewhere in the 60s or 70s. He is an old timey teacher with an absolutely delightful sour and disapproving face, wearing glasses and a black coat with stiff white collar and black cap. Does not have original tag. Measuring 13” he is in very good vintage condition. His outfit is a little wrinkled and there are a few small yellow stains on his face and hands. He is a little dusty. No rips, holes or musty odors. Please see photos for details and feel free to ask questions.
