These vintage Picture Post magazines are a wonderful resource of news and contemporary thought - giving insight to the news, politics and current affairs of the world. There are articles and lots of pictures, and these 1950s issues are particularly interesting! And the advertisements are great, too.

In this issue:
  • Cover: Princess Margaret
  • Is This Man Dangerous? - Spandau Gaol - Karl Doenitz [Dönitz] - Jack Fishman
  • Slimming match - Blonde vs Brunette by Cynthia Judah, photos by Maurice Ambler
  • Goodbye to Rationing
  • The Threat - Part 1 by Robert Muller
  • A Great Day for St Hilda’s College, Oxford University, photos by Bert Hardy - visit by Princess Margaret
  • The Parting of the Twins - Tjitske & Folkje de Vries - Professor Ian Aird - cojoined twins separated
  • Should the Isle of Man TT Race Be Stopped? photos by Raymond S Lkeboe - Inge Stoll-Laforge
  • Little Miss Mexico, photos by Maurice Ambler - Melita Ramirez - Tennis
  • Frankie Howerd to the Rescue, photos by Bert Hardy

The magazine is large format, measuring appoximately 34cm by 26cm, with 54 pages

Condition: The magazine is in good vintage condition, showing reading wear and some creasing to the covers, plus the staples have rusted, making the pages loose and some staining damage around the staples, there is a newsagents delivery name written on the front cover - visible in the pictures below. Given that the magazine is over 65 years old, its condition is pretty good, but certainly not perfect! The magazine pictured below is the one you will receive.

I accept returns, and if you’d like any further information, just ask!
