These vintage Picture Post magazines are a wonderful resource of news and contemporary thought - giving insight to the news, politics and current affairs of the world. There are articles and lots of pictures, and these 1950s issues are particularly interesting! And the advertisements are great, too.

In this issue:
  • Cover: Kay & Lynn Bruce - Twins
  • A Little Boy Learns of the Wonder of Life - photos by Suzanne Szasz
  • A child dances into the past - Diana Small, photos by Thurston Hopkins
  • Children of Today by Fyfe Robertson
  • Comprehensive Schools - Anglesey, Llangefni
  • The Thomas Jones School, Amlwch, Anglesey
  • Hollywood Mothers, photos by Milton H Greene - Lauren Bacall, Jeanne Craine, Elizabeth Taylor
  • How to cope with grown ups by Geoffrey Willans, drawings by Ronald Searle
  • Golf - Len Job and son Nick Job, photos by Thurston Hopkins
  • Henshaw’s Institute for the Blind, Old Trafford, Lancashire
  • On The Spot by Edgar Wallace - Continuation
  • Caledonian Hall Children’s Dance by Derek Hanaghan, photos by John S Murray

The magazine is large format, measuring appoximately 34cm by 26cm, with 62 pages

Condition: The magazine is in good vintage condition, showing reading wear and some creasing to the covers, plus the staples have rusted, making the pages loose and some staining damage around the staples, there is a newsagents delivery name written on the front cover - visible in the pictures below. Given that the magazine is over 65 years old, its condition is pretty good, but certainly not perfect! The magazine pictured below is the one you will receive.

I accept returns, and if you’d like any further information, just ask!
