These are Red Wing Beckman boots in Cigar Featherstone leather with a Roccia combination leather and rubber sole.  This pair also has speedhooks installed for quick lacing.  This style of boot hasn't been made by Red Wing for a few years. There have been rumors that they would start making these again but there appears to be nothing on the horizon.

I have always found this combination sole to be the perfect match of style and comfort. Charles Beckman, Red Wing's founder, created these boots so that he would have something able to handle the streets of Minnesota while retaining a stylish appearance - I think he was successful.

The featherstone leather is a little different from Red Wing's more traditional amber harness and rough and tough leathers. This is a smooth finished leather, allowing it to take on a bit more of a shine for those who desire it.

Regarding sizing, I wear 8.5 in Red Wing Iron Rangers and Moc Toes (875), and these as well, but 9 in most Allen Edmonds shoes. So, these fit me quite well.

Because these are broken in, there are a few nicks, scuffs, and darkened areas here and there on the leather and soles (I think they are all shown in the pictures).  The most major nick is shown in the very last image, on the outside toe area of the right boot.  If those are the sorts of things that bother you -- better to realize it now -- then these probably are not the boots for you. On the other hand, the leather feels bulletproof, like it will last forever.

As with all Red Wing Heritage boots, these are triple stitched in all of the major wear areas so these should last for many more years to come.

These have been stored in a smoke-free home. Please let me know if you have any questions - and be sure to check out my other items as I often have many other similar items in different colors or sizes!
