This listing is for one modified Pokémon GO Plus + that has been modified to allow users to catch hands-free in Pokémon GO using Ultra Balls and Great Balls. The stock device requires you to button press each and every time unless you're using standard Poké Balls. The mod is controlled with a physical on/off switch available in a low profile or standard form factor. The modification process also resolves the other top issues about the stock device: vibration and sound are removed entirely, and the lights are dimmed.

7/31/24 Announcement: Focusing on Modifying New Devices and Send-in Services, Sunsetting Repair Services

New GO Plus + modifications and send-in modifications are here to stay!

I'm sometimes contacted by users who purchased modified GO Plus + devices from other sellers (sellers that aren't GO Plus Plus Mods aka goplusplusmods) that were poorly modified or worse: totally bricked beyond repair via any resets. From what I've been told, the seller has either ghosted them or in some cases disappeared altogether. Typically, the user with a broken device was referred to me by one of my customers, and in the past I was able to help the majority of these users. It's time for me to bow out from assisting with this due to current workload.

Right now I have too much on my plate to continue repairing devices that were poorly modified by other sellers -- undoing someone's mistakes and mess takes much more time than it does to modify a brand new device. If I continue to take these cases on it will slow my process down enough to delay other customers. You can contact me with a clear description of your issue, but I need to set the expectation that in most cases I cannot help you if your device was modified by someone other than me.

Previously, I avoided making an announcement like this and feel awful because I'm aware my listings are so closely watched. The reality is that any manual process is bound to have some kind of defect now-and-then! I've certainly had hardware fail. I don't believe most of these sellers intended to be scammers -- some of them definitely tried their best. However, it's important for a seller to address the defects that happen! Don't let me dissuade you; longevity and lack of experience is less of a problem if the person who modified it -- whether that's you, your buddy, or a seller you paid -- will try to fix it if they didn't do a good job.

A: No. I have included a screenshot from Pokémon GO (patch 0.283.1) that shows that it cannot.

 

Q: Wasn’t advertised to automatically throw Ultra and Great Balls without mods?

A: Unfortunately not. Many players in the Pokémon GO community were disappointed to learn it couldn't. It auto-throws Poké Balls, but Ultra and Great Balls require you to press a button following flashing lights and vibration. You cannot hold the button down to auto-catch with Ultra and Great Balls. This listing is for a unit that has been modified so that it autocatches with Poké Balls, Great Balls, or Ultra Balls at the player's choice. Ball throwing modification can be disabled with the included on-off switch. 

 

Q: Isn’t there a glitch that lets you automatically throw Ultra Balls and Great Balls without a modification?

A: There was, but this was patched in 0.277.1. This modification enables autocatching with Ultra and Great Balls.

 

Q: Can I still use this for Pokémon Sleep and tracking sleep in Pokémon GO?

A: Yes, and you can catch Snorlax with a nightcap costume! Simply move the physical switch to the OFF position before tracking sleep.
