These vintage Picture Post magazines are a wonderful resource of news and contemporary thought - giving insight to the news, politics and current affairs of the world. There are articles and lots of pictures, and these 1950s issues are particularly interesting! And the advertisements are great, too.
In this issue:
- Cover: The New Princess
- Guided Robots Go To War - Guided Missile Research by Trevor Philpott - Albert Püllenberg
- Camargue Horses - Albert Lamorisse
- Yvonne Sugden
- Coronation Lord Mayor - Sir Rupert De la Bère
- Alban Leyshon
- Princess Alexandra
- Should we flog the thugs? Lord Goddard, Lord Templewood - Corporal Punishment
- Bernard Brothers
The magazine is large format, measuring appoximately 34cm by 26cm, with 46 pages
Condition: The magazine is in good vintage condition, showing reading wear and some creasing to the covers, plus the staples have rusted, making the pages loose and some staining damage around the staples, there is a newsagent’s delivery name written on the front cover - visible in the pictures below. Given that the magazine is over 70 years old, its condition is pretty good, but certainly not perfect! The magazine pictured below is the one you will receive.
I accept returns, and if you’d like any further information, just ask!
