Medal of the Legion of Honor in solid gold (eagle's head hallmark) and enamel, representing on the obverse the effigy of Ceres laureate with "République Française 1870" and on the reverse the crossed tricolor flag and standard and the legend "Honneur et Patrie", on a laurel wreath, with a round ribbon, from the Third Republic period, 19th century.
