Attention Buyers (Collection of responses of questions on this item)
(1) I am a retired California licensed pawnbroker, jeweler, & Diamond Investor. I only sell authentic items and I stand behind all my inventory.
(2) I have sold over two hundred million dollars over my career and over a thousand authentic Tiffany & Co. items to date, so I know what is real (Authentic Tiffany & Co.) and what is not. When I am in doubt, I research & verify. The average appraiser and clerk at Tiffany & Company are not trained or competent to help anyone verify what is authentic Tiffany & Company or what is not. These types have no skin in the game nor do they work in the trenches of buy/sell pre-owned Tiffany & Co. items under pressure.
(3) Background on this ring: Ring was obtained pre-owned from an estate and legally purchased in a beach city near Los Angeles, CALIFORNIA. The story on the ring: it was bought at Tiffany & Company overseas and given as a gift to a Celebrity Model type as a Round Brilliant "D" Flawless diamond. When I acquired the ring there was no original Tiffany & Company pedigree or diamond report as it was obtained as a gift and showed no wear. Myself and my certified GIA gemologist verified the ring is 100% Tiffany & Company with matching logos and numerous design details all confirming it is a 100% authentic and original Diamond & Platinum Tiffany & Company mounting.
(4) The Center Diamond was then meticulously removed, weighed and examined under a microscope and appeared to be a "D" in color and Flawless in Clarity under 10x magnification and using GIA standards. The Diamond was than sent to GIA lab in Carlsbad, California for grading, who unfortunately gave the color grade an "E" Color and clarity of Flawless (I inquired with the Lab in which they said it was a High "E"). Since I had no original GIA or Tiffany & Company paperwork to accompany the ring, I conceded to GIA lab's grade and accept "E" flawless grade. I have GIA diamond color set that shows the color is border line "D" Color.
(5) Facts: Diamond grading is not an exact science and GIA labs are often 1 color or 1 clarity off. I have dozens of examples of this over the years. GIA is the standard even if the Tiffany & Company paperwork said "D" Flawless. The GIA is way more important in the diamond trade than what Tiffany & Company thinks or says. My point: it is very possible that this 1.03ct diamond beauty is a "D" Flawless by Tiffany & Company standards, which would raise the price by over $10,000++. The Diamond could still be re-polished 1 point less and sent back to GIA lab to try for "D" Color. I don't think its worth the time.
(6) I can help with this endeavor process if you have an interest in rolling the dice and paying for the process. There would be extra fees involved around $1,000 for the whole process with no upgrade guarantees.
Message Relating to Tiffany & Co. Logos and Laser Inscriptions
(1) Circa-Pre 2000 Tiffany & Co. always hallmarked their jewelry with their trade mark name using different variations of spelling hallmarks of the Tiffany Name. All Tiffany & Company rings should be stamped Tiffany & Co. Occasionally older rings might be stamped Tiffany & Co Pt900 IRID, or just T & Co. The signature might be worn and, depending on the age or country of manufacture, the letters and font might look slightly different. This is a real research project to learn about this and distinguish the copies vs the other factors.
(2) Circa 2000, Tiffany & Co started to Serial number the shank of the ring with 8 digit identification numbers. Under certain circumstances these numbers are sometimes removed from the ring. Example Re: Sizing or a diamond swap out.
(3) Circa 2004, Tiffany & Co. started to laser inscribe their diamonds on the crown facet through the GIA Laboratories.

(4) This Diamond was sent to GIA LAB in 2007. The GIA certificate did not come from Tiffany & Co; it came straight from GIA lab in Carlsbad California. The GIA report is much more important than the Tiffany & Co. report for resale to diamond dealers in the pre-owned markets.
(5) I am happy to discuss the details of this ring with anyone that is interested in its purchase, but not just to debate or insult. The Diamond is 100% natural earth mined and the Ring is 100% Tiffany & Co verified and authentic. I am not hiding anything; I just don't have the Tiffany & Co invoice.
(6) If you require a Tiffany & Co laser inscription on the diamond and serial number on the ring, please seek a ring with full Tiffany & Company history pedigree bought from original owner who can meet you at Tiffany & Co to help with the transfer or buy a new one for double or triple the price of a pre-owned one that will look the same after one hour of use. I have recently confirmed Tiffany & Co will not support 3rd transfers even with original receipt unless it is an immediate family member. I have had problems now even at the Beverly Hills Tiffany & Co. which used to be helpful. The original Tiffany & Company motto of customer support and great service founded by Charles Tiffany has deteriorated to only helping a client if they are going to make a fresh new sale. No support to pre-owned Tiffany & Co, which is a shame and hurts the brand.
Additional Notes
(1) I get weekly offers from the eBay "clowns" offering under $10,000. These offers just makes no sense. I can sell the item for $10,000 to any diamond broker or reseller. If you are one of these special type of humans that make these low offers for kicks, please move pass this listing as fast as you can, or at least put on clown shoes, a clown suit, and a red clown nose, so you look like I feel getting these type of no sense offers. I am on ebay to make win/win deals and provide quality merchandise period.
(2) I do get sad for the woman that marry these cheapo types. If they won't step up to give you something nice, how do you think they will treat you throughout the marriage?
