Description:
Pencil on paper. No visible signatures? Dated to the lower left: October 1849 and inscribed with old inventory numbers. Exquisite portrait of a boy holding bow and arrow. Most likely a study for the classical fable of Cupid. Framed in a fine antique Neoclassical gilt frame. Please note that we will ship this piece without glass, to prevent damage during transit. If you wish the glass, then contact us for a shipping quote.
Condition:
Ready to hang. In good condition. There are some minor spots on the surface of the paper and tiny tears pinholes and folds along the edges. Otherwise fine. ( See photos) The original frame has minor scratches due to the age.
