Stroft

Line STROFT GTP type R: Type R is the tried and tested GTP, which was previously offered in strengths Type 1 to Type 12. These strengths are now called Type R1 to Type R12. The R stands for round and tight. Last year this series was extended by the types R01 to R06. These are extremely fine cords with a diameter of approx. 0.06 mm to 0.13 mm with load capacities from 1.5 kg to 4.0 kg.

Until now, it was not possible to produce these finest cords because the individual fibers were not fine enough and the number per braided strand was therefore too small. A new, even finer UHMWPE fiber now enables entry into this area.

Type R is manufactured using very special braiding processes. The STROFT special braid made of, for example, 300x8 = 2400 individual fibers (type R12) creates an almost circular cord cross-section with an arrow-like dimple on the surface. These Dimples Dimples (dimples) create turbulent flows during the throwing process, which reduce air resistance and thus enable further throws, as is the case with the dimples on a golf ball.

The following colors are available: light gray, green, orange, pink fluor., light blue, dark brown and multicolor (with the color multicolor, the cord color changes every 10 meters.).

Special features:

  • Roundness
  • Inner strength
  • Air resistance
