These vintage Picture Post magazines are a wonderful resource of news and contemporary thought - giving insight to the news, politics and current affairs of the world. There are articles and lots of pictures, and these late 1930s issues are particularly interesting! And the advertisements are great, too.

In this issue:
  • Cover: Greer Garson
  • The Foreign Legion
  • Mayfair, London
  • The Grybsban Case - Trial of Herschel Grynszban - Assassination of Ernst vom Rath
  • Day in the Life of an Artists Model - Freda Walker - Brynhild Parker
  • Crime and Punishment by Edward Hulton
  • James McNeill Whistler
  • Over-Forties Fitness
  • Unemployed - A Government Training Centre
  • Kissing for the Advertisements - White Owl Cigars
  • Ice Fishing - Lake Geneva, Wisconsin
  • Students of the World - Kingsway Hall, London - Student Movement House, Paul Robeson - a picture and caption
  • The British Museum
  • Humour: The Last Tea by Dorothy Parker

The magazine is large format, measuring appoximately 34cm by 26cm, with 80 pages

Condition: The magazine is in good vintage condition, showing reading wear and some creasing to the covers, plus the staples have rusted, making the pages loose and some staining damage around the staples - visible in the pictures below. Given that the magazine is over 80 years old, its condition is pretty good, but certainly not perfect! The magazine pictured below is the one you will receive.

I accept returns, and if you’d like any further information, just ask!
