Here is something you just don’t see everyday. An entire book about salt. Kind of unusual, right? But then I began reading it and it is very very interesting. This is a first edition first printing published by J.G. Ferguson in 1948. This copy is truly beautiful. The binding is square and tight and immaculate throughout. The navy blue cloth boards are spotless and the silver gilt lettering on both the front board and spine are in pristine as shown. The spine ends and all four corners are in excellent condition. It’s almost as if this copy has been preserved in salt! ( sorry, couldn’t help myself ). There are s very few pages at the end of the book with annotations as shown. There are a total of 9 pages of the 239 pages annotated. This title has many pages of black and white photographs and illustrations several of which are so wonderful. No, truly. The side page block has light soiling. The dust jacket is complete and has the original price of $3.00 present on the front flap as shown. The all yellow jacket has some soiling and staining as can be easily seen in the images posted. Please see all pics and ask any questions you may have and as always I never list ex library or book club editions so buy with confidence. And please check out my 100% positive seller feedback!!! Thanks for looking.
