"NBC Symphony Orchestra" radio show transcription discs issued by The Armed Forces Radio Service.  One complete 55 minute radio broadcast on these two 16 inch, vinyl, 33 1/3 rpm discs.  These discs were issued to radio stations for broadcast only and not available to the general public, very rare!

"NBC Symphony" radio program #66 from July 23, 1944 featuring the NBC Symphony Orchestra performing from Symphony Hall, conducted by Dr. Frank Black

Music includes:

1. “Fantasy On Two Themes” by Deems Taylor

2. “3rd Movement From The 2nd Symphony In E Minor” subtitled “The Missions Of California” by Meredith Willson

3. “Symphonic Picture Of Porgy And Bess” by George Gershwin transcribed by Robert Russell Bennett

An Excellent Program with Excellent Musical Selections!

Discs are in Excellent-- condition with Excellent sound.  There is a large scratch on part one that isn't deep and doesn't significantly effect the sound.  There is a scratch on part two that causes some clicks.  Discs play with no skips.  Sound is quite good

Please note that 16 inch transcription discs will not play on most standard turntables due to their size.  I can make a CD copy of the discs for the buyer only for $10
