Polish Eagle on Austrian Express Stamps

Item shown depicts probable forgeries, fantasies or speculative productions.

The underlying Austrian triangular express stamps of 1916 have been handstamped with the Polish eagle, as it appeared on Polish Local Issues for Mielec and Myślenice in 1918.

The item on sale is either not genuine or unlisted, as in the authentic overprinted Polish locals, the eagle handstamp is black, not red. The item is therefore of interest to those who collect this type of material.

Please note, the stamps are a mix of mint never hinged and mint hinged.
