The John Scott Tile Collection Paperback Victorian Tile Collection Book

If you collect or want to know more about the Victorian tiles then this book is a must have.
This is a rare and outstanding book that has beautiful illustrations.
It showcases the collection of genuine tile enthusiasts. In 2012, John Scott generously gave his entire collection of tiles to the Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust to be displayed at the Jackfield Tile Museum.
The collection is one of the best private collections of English decorative tiles from the mid-19th to mid-20th century, with around 1,700 pieces. It features works from some of the most famous designers and manufacturers of that era. The book is 360 pages long and includes colour illustrations, as well as bibliographical references.
The collection mainly focuses on the products and history of Craven Dunnill & Co. and Maw & Co. but also includes some examples from most of the other major Victorian factories in the country.

Please study pictures very well for conditions, as these are the central part of the description.

Can you read before you buy?

 DISPATCH TIMES:

We will dispatch the items within three working days of cleared payment.

I will answer any questions at Antique Endeavors and gladly fix a genuine issue.

I do my best to disclose any flaws I find in an item.

That does not mean that I may see or overlook a mark.

I provide high-definition pictures for buyers to look over items themselves.

I am entirely willing to send more pictures upon request and answer any of your questions to the best of my ability and knowledge.

Everything Antique Endeavors sell is aged.

To have no flaws, imperfections or signs of age, such as wear or tiny flea bites on a vintage or antique item, is nearly impossible.

If you want something perfect, purchase something brand new and in its box.

All items will be gently handled and carefully packed, and some things are double-boxed for shipment and shipped with care via Royal Mail for parcels up to 2 kg.

We will send the most oversized items via Parcelforce.

For the International, we use tracked shipping through Royal Mail, and the largest parcels will have sent through eBay Global Shipping Program.

Since the quality and condition of aged, vintage and antique merchandise are subjective, all items are sold “AS IS”, and sales are final. Unless otherwise noted, most of the things I sell are found at high-end London area estate sales, so I cannot vouch for their provenance or history. Where I can, the origin of the items will be stated.

I research and price each item to the best of my ability and have some pieces appraised, but I need to improve in grading antique or vintage items.

Please research before purchasing and look over high-definition pictures thoroughly.

If there are chips or cracks that I’ve been able to find in an item, I will point them out in pictures. Pictures ARE the most important part of the description.

Please check Antique Endeavors listings for other great finds; I will combine shipping where possible.

I am an environmentally friendly citizen; I will reuse some boxes, bubble wrap and paper when possible.

If you purchase from me, you can rest assured that your money is being invested back into your fellow citizens, not big corporations.

I put a significant amount of time into researching and pricing items accordingly and to the best of my ability, but I do not claim to be an expert on anything I have listed.

Again, please research before purchasing an item you are still determining. I will provide more pictures when you ask and answer any of your questions to the best of my ability.

Please leave positive feedback if you are happy with your purchase and communication with me.

It helps to grow my business. I leave feedback for everyone.
