This is a pair of sugar (or small ice cube) tongs from the early 20th century by Aue Saxony/Germany cutlery/flatware manufacturer Auguste Wellner. Detailed articles on Wellner in ACSA mention but do not detail/date the Ele-phant with lines behind Alpacca mark here. There is also a block straight line WELLNER. The pattern is a neoclassical crossed ribbons design which is not depicted in the 39 patterns listed at Replacements. Overall length is 4 1/4". Alpacca is a silver alloy with unknown amount of silver, often minimal.
Significant flaws not depicted in the photos are described here-with, minor flaws and normal wear are not. Unless the item is described as new, assume there will be minor flaws or wear commensurate with a used item of given age.
