This item is old, the rubber gasket is pliable and not cracked, however I can't know if it will function to can with. Therefore, this ONE 3 piece lid is being sold as a display item ONLY.
Jeanette Mason Home Packer Closure Approximately 80 years old, based on Jeanette Glass company history.
Never Used, New old stock, removed from box for the 1st time for me to take pictures.
An extremely rare item, I looked
for this on ebay in current listings and sold listings for the past 2 years and can't
find it anywhere. While it's obviously unknown if the rubber rings
will function after approximately 80 years, they are still firm and
flexible. See photo.

Growing from the rocky beginnings of its predecessor firms, the Jeannette Glass Co.
began production in 1898. The factory originally made a variety of bottles, but it added a line of
glass prisms, auto headlights, and tableware in 1912, then shifted entirely to the manufacture of
tableware in 1924. The plant added the Jeannette Mason Home Packer fruit jar to its inventory
in 1940 but withdrew the jars ca. 1945.
