Vintage Novelty Scatter Pin Lot - New Old Stock!
- Fantastic array of 1960’s hand painted scatter pins found on the original store display.
- Forty-six individual metal pins, colorfully painted, representing animals (mammals, insects, fish, birds, etc.) are included.
- Lot includes giraffe, tiger, frog, bear, pheasant, horse, kangaroo, owl, fish, penguin and more!
- Most creatures are found in pairs, and may or may not be painted in the same color way.
- Generally speaking, pins are 1 to 1.25” long/tall. All have a small safety latch to secure the pin—I have not tested each latch.
- Also included is original two piece box the item arrived in, which is unmarked/unbranded and “as is”.
Condition: While these are definitely “new” store stock, they are 50+ years old. I believe the pins are, for the most part, on the point-of-sale card as originally placed. Areas of bare metal may have age discoloration, and/or oxidation. The painted fronts aren’t flaked or faded. The padded easel shows some aging and a bit of discoloration, especially where the metal pins touch fabric. There are a few extra pin holes in the display fabric.
