The Rickenbacker 4001 is one of the most interesting basses ever. This is an affordable Mapleglo finished example w/a maple neck-thru body design w/maple body halves, triangle pearl inlays & a desirable checkerboard bound body, she has a slightly later hi-gain pickup w/great tone, a replacement black’gard, its missing 1 of the original Grover tuners w/another type. Its serial # plate is wearing its “MF” code that dates to June 1973. It also has a Bad Ass bridge for far better intonation (the original bridge is in its case pocket). Overall she’s very good, she looks good w/great playability & comes in a decent hard case.
