This treasure trove of magical and talismanic lore is the work of the publisher of occult literature, pioneer in supplying occult materials by mail order, and infamous book pirate Lauron William de Laurence (1868-1936).

This edition is fantastically illustrated throughout with drawings of "rare talismanic diagrams, seals of spirits, charms, magical squares, and pentacles" and more.

Publications of the de Laurence Company were not regularly updated with date or printing information, but this copy is dated 1916 on the title page.

Bound in black hard textured cloth boards, with upper board lettered in now faded gilt. Mild edgewear to binding. Binding is firm and sound. A rare copy.
