Lonesome Lover is a waltz ballad released in 1930. It was a huge hit for Guy Lombardo and was recorded by several orchestras afterwards. It was written by Al Bryan and Jimmie Monaco.
Jimmie Monaco (1885-1945) is best known for You Made Me Love You (I Didn’t Want to Do It), but he spent most of his career in Hollywood, producing music for Bing Crosby.
