Description

Stunning True Antique Victorian Wedding Gown, in remarkable condition. Fashioned from ivory color satin brocade, trimmed in wide ecru silk ribbons, with intricate silvered glass beaded trim.

Stiff boning in "Basque" bodice. Shirred panel at front, high Victorian neckline, and 3/4" length puff sleeves trimmed in wide ecru lace. Sleeves lined in fine cotton.  Gathered bustle skirt back, skirt fully lined in stiff crinoline. All hook and eye fittings, some with hand sewn loops.

Two piece gown, beautifully preserved. Measurements as follows:

SKIRT
~Length front and back 38"
~Waist 22" around

BASQUE (Blouse)
~Across shoulders 10 1/2"
~Neck 10 1/2" around
~Waist 22" around
~Length shoulder to waist 15"

See pictures below for detail. Some of the hand sewn loops have come loose. A few of the Faux pearls within the beaded trim are missing on one sleeve. Minor age breakdown / fraying in the silk waist sash ribbon. A faint yellow stain on the front hem. Hard to see on the ivory satin.

All in all, an amazing 1895 Wedding Gown, over 120 years old, wearable. Beautiful as a display for the collector or museum.
