Tagliamonte have returned to their roots when they carved their cameos in gemstones. This Ring features a black Venetian glass intaglio carving of Androclus and the Lion. Another amazing detailed Etruscan style 18k gold vermeil setting with engraved scrollwork on the inside and sides of the Ring, geometric patterning on the shoulders and beaded rays surrounding the intaglio bezel.

Androclus fleeing from his Roman master hides in a cave & encounters a Lion injured with a thorn in his paw. Having relieved the Lions discomfort his kindess is repaid when again they meet, this time in the fighting arena. The Lion shows his gratitude by submitting to Androclus meekly - the crowd is so stunned they are both freed.
