For Banana seeds. Plant the banana seeds 1/4 inch deep. Water the seeds until the soil is moist, not drenched, and maintain damp conditions while growing. When germinating banana seeds, even hardy bananas, keep the temperature at least 60 degrees F. Seeds will sprout in 8 to 10 weeks. Banana seeds may be difficult to germinate and grow if tropical condition needs are not maintained.
