Power supplies are tested under load in a working system. Please do not use a simple over the counter PSU tester as they are not designed to be compatible with all PSU's, do not test under load and are generally unreliable.
***If testing with a multi-meter, please note that there is more than plugging it in and connecting the meter. You tube has helpful videos***
