This antique treble plate is a beautiful and unique piece made by Simpson, Hall and Miller. The pattern is unknown but it adds to the charm of this silverplate. The artist made between 1717 -to past 1747 when John carpenter died and his wife and family took over. The round circle has the mark and indicates that it is made of puter and it is a great addition to any collection. The style is also treble plate which is a popular choice among antique collectors. It does have initials that you will see in pictures. This item has been through the ringer. It needs to be polished and buffed. I used a cloth that is for silver jewelry to get the main parts visible. Also it looks like someone tried to scrape off the patina. Also on the bottom it’s, I don’t know, like it’s been among rocks. There is also a mark of 1500. I don’t know if that’s the purity. Last thing. Someone scratched U77 and directly below that it is scratched E0Q but it is a great find for those interested in pre-1800 pieces. The California Prop 65 Warning is not applicable to this product. But I will try and send the information that I researched it from. But guessing the treble plate could be around 300 years old I’ve researched this to the best of my ability if there is flaws in the articles that I researched and then presented to you. I don’t take responsibility for there flaws. I’ve given you pictures and numbers of everything that I researched and seen on the treble plate itself.
