New, never used or sharpened. Blade is 5-3/8 inches long. Overall length is just under 10 inches. This knife is exceptionally well made and has amazing balance in the hand. The Damascus is done with perfection. The handle is polished and feels like glass with some roughness left in for grip. Overall, my favorite knife that I have ever held.
