Molnar, Franz - Liliom - Boni & Liveright: New York, 1921 - First Edition / Second Printing - “Second Printing” stated on the copyright page as required in order to denote the second printing of the first edition.

The book is rubbed and bumped with a small chip to the crown of the spine. The boards remain straight, binding is square, and internally there is some toning and offsetting but there is no writing or other markings. The dust jacket is soiled, rubbed, edge worn with chips and a tear, and the spine is sunned to the point of being white. That said this is an unreasonably scarce book to see in any type of jacket at all. Early printings of this book seem to seldom surface and we do not remember the last time we saw one offered in the scarce jacket. Basis for a litany of adaptations across all forms of media including film, stage, and radio. Most notably Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II adapted Liliom into the musical Carousel. This was only the second musical by the famed pair and ran for 890 performances and has been revived countless times since then.
