Second Modern Library Giant hardcover edition of Look Homeward, Angel by Thomas Wolfe. Based on the list of available titles on interior of dust jacket, this copy was printed in 1939. A hard to find vintage copy of this classic work of religious literature. Jacket is protected in new archival sleeve but with some rubbing to faces and heavy wear around the edges - including chipping, creases, small tears and small missing bits. Some pen markings on titles on interior of jacket. Boards are straight and clean but with corners bumped and small blemish to spine above ML logo. Spine is a bit rounded but binding remains firm, hinges are secure and all pages are attached. Previous owner’s stamp to front endpaper (obscured by liner flap) and to title page, otherwise all pages are clean and unmarked though tanned. See photos for condition.
