An excellent quality tested 9 ct gold stunning hand engraved design mechanical pencil with a functional design. This is a Great example in functional condition. The propelling pencil is in perfect condition. I have added a period metal tube of spare period fitted leads and filled up the hidden lead store. Who else offers this complete service !

The pencil has a beautiful hand engraved “to R Lee from W.C.A 91 for 1891. So this is a perfect way to date this stunner piece and imagine how wealthy the person was who gifted this as a present.

There is also beautiful hand engraved italics R L in the wax seal, another sign of true quality.

Condition Report: Perfect museum condition for its age and type, there are no surface marks no indents. I can see no evidence of alteration or repair. The pencil slide is perfect I have left the item uncleaned as I have found it. It would polish up to a bright shine if you wanted to. This is as good as it get folks, one for the serious collector. This is the pinnacle of pencils, high quality.
