This listing is for a pair of headlight Bump-stop insulators for C5 Corvette.
This kit also fits 1998-2002 Pontiac Firebird.
I'm not sure about 1993-97 Firebird?
FITS THE FOLLOWING VEHICLES:
2000-2004 Chevrolet Corvette (all models)

Kit includes:
2- OEM quality bump-stop insulators (#4 on diagram)
These bump-stop insulators snap in place over the metal bump stop tabs on the base of each headlight. There is an extension on the headlight motor to headlight linkage arm that hits these bump stops and forces the motor to stop at the open and closed positions. Over time and many cycles these bump-stop insulators will often deform and fail or just fall off causing all sorts of issues with your headlights.
FOR C5 CORVETTE OWNERS:
If you have replaced the two bump stop insulators on the base of the headlight and the issue returns after a short amount of time, you may have an issue that is outlined in a GM Technical Service Bulletin (TSB# 00-08-42-002). This is an issue with the alignment of the linkage arm to the bump stops. This issue is usually on the left/driver side headlight. These bump-stop insulators are made from the same material as the OEM originals. Some others being sold on the market are made of brittle plastic that deteriorates very quickly.
