2)Please add a note to your order with your leg choice, legs pictured above - Queen Anne is available in White, Black or Brown - Castor is only available in Dark Brown.

3)We will then post you 1st Class a fabric swatch of your chosen fabric for you to OK - once we hear back from you we will Hand Craft your Chaise and let you know a delivery date.

Delivery

As soon as your order has left our depot, you will receive an email confirming that the order is on its way.

We use a courier which we have carefully sourced, whom we have complete confidence in to make your delivery as simple as possible. Delivery is a national courier.

If you are not in to take the delivery, the courier will leave a note through your door with a number to call.

We will email in advance to tell you the delivery date, you can change this if it is inconvenient for you.

A History of Chaise Longue:

It is thought that the first blend of a chair and daybed originated in Egypt. The earliest known models were made from palm sticks lashed together with pieces of cord or rawhide. Later, Egyptian bed-makers introduced mortise-and-tenon construction and wood bed frames veneered with ivory or ebony, in common use with many examples being found in the 1st dynasty (3100–2890 BC) tombs

The French chaise longue appeared in the 16th century with a design that featured four legs and a back rest for reclining on the back rather than the side. These early chaise longues were made of curved wood, wooden caning or rattan. In England the chaise longue was found in wealthy households, used by women to rest during the day without having to go to their bedrooms.
