This is hallmarked silver and has the makers mark of Vaughton and Sons and the date letter for Birmingham 1956 ,the hallmark is crisp.
These are difficult to find in hallmarked Silver.
This measures 40 millimetres including the loop and comes in the Original Presentation Box .
This has the 3 swords from the Essex Coat of Arms / Crest on the front .
This club is still running ,it was established as the Beaufort Harriers in 1887 , and became the Essex Beagles in 1891 . It remained as the Beagles until 1985 when it merged with Newham Athletics Club , and became Newham and Essex Beagles . It has produced a number of Olympians and some Olympic greats including Daley Thompson , the decathlete.
The Silver & Enamel are in Excellent condition . It would benefit from a polish . I have left the Patina.
This is a fabulous piece of memorabilia .
