Aircrew brevets (or badges) were a badge that was worn on the left breast, above any medal ribbons, by qualified aircrew of the Royal Air Force.

The navigator brevets were introduced in 1942, when the role of Observer was split into two; Navigator and Bomb Aimer. The navigator's primary responsibility was being aware of the aircraft's location at all times. In addition they planned the journey, estimated time to destination and making the pilot aware of any potential enemy.

The navigator ones feature the N initial flanked by a brown wreath, alongside the white wing on a dark blue background.

These feature Gold Embroidery / piping with silver letters , they are made up and are a novelty collectable according to an expert.
