Epiphyllum Hybrid Seeds

('Kiwi Jubilee' X 'Starfish')

New Seeds for Season 2024!

This offering is for 10 Epiphyllum Seeds, as well as detailed sowing instructions. These seeds are exciting hybrids that I have made by crossing different Epiphyllum varieties from among my private collection. The seeds are stored and kept fresh, and are ready for immediate planting. By closely following the detailed sowing instructions, you will be on your way to cultivating totally unique Orchid Cacti. Growing Epiphyllums from seed can be exciting and fun - the mystery and anticipation are rewarded with your first blooms. Who knows? You might just be growing the next award winner!

The 'first name' of the hybrid is the seed pod parent    X    the 'second name' is the pollen parent.
(If a hybrid is listed as: 'Name' Ex Nat = seed pod parent is naturally pollenated = pollen parent is unknown.)

Photos of the two parents (if known) are shown - the resulting plants could be similar to one parent or the other, something in between, or even something way out and completely different. Each seedling will become its own, unique plant that will be a complete surprise when it first blooms. Seed to bloom will require patience, and will take from 5 to 6 (+/-) years before you see your first flowers.

THE QUANTITY OF SEEDS PER PACKET IS LISTED WITH EACH VARIETY OFFERED, AND MAY VARY FROM HYBRID TO HYBRID. THE QUANTITY OF SEEDS IS DETERMINED BY THE INDIVIDUAL HYBRID AND/OR SCARCITY AND QUALITY OF SEED PRODUCTION.

Please note: The seeds are properly stored to keep them fresh and viable. Success in their germination is up to you - and will be achieved by carefully following the instructions included with your seeds. Sowing seeds requires cleanliness, practice and patience, and seeds frequently have specific requirements and pretreatments to aid in their germination. There is a learning curve. I say this because people frequently blame the seeds or the seller for a failure in germination, when, in actuality, it is generally because of the one doing the sowing...  With that said, I wish you the best of luck with your seeds - if you have any questions about them, please don't hesitate to contact me. Thank you.

I've been growing and collecting Epiphyllums for over 45 years and enjoy over 700 varieties in my collection. It would be hard to choose a favorite, but it would probably have to be the one that's right in front of me!

All photos are of plants in my own collection - unless stated otherwise.
