About the back side of this two-dollar note. This is a copy of the famous painting by John Trumbull, which hangs in Rotunda of the United States Capitol, usually incorrectly described as the Signing of the Declaration. The artist depicted the Committee of Five presenting its work to Congress and very important people attending this event.
However, such a gathering never actually took place (Monumental Money by Yigal Arkin, 2012).
