Vintage Zwerg Excelsior Telescoping Travel Tripod DRP Germany

This vintage travel tripod is about 9" long and 3" wide with legs pushed fully in.

Each leg is about 45 1/2" long when fully extended.

The top bolt swivels on a ball joint and locks by screwing in a side bolt near the top.

Spring loaded pins lock each the leg segment.

9 telescoping leg segments are made of aluminum.  The top thickest fixed leg segment is aluminum covered in plastic. One of the leg plastic covers is split vertically for about 1" but does not affect the use of the tripod.

To retract a leg, push in the pin on the top plastic leg segment with one hand then push in that leg with the other hand. Occasionally you may need to push in a pin for one of the other lower leg segments to make that leg segment retract. When extended each leg segment locks with a spring loaded pin that clicks into a hole.

Tested this tripod on a couple of my cameras and the cameras mounted ok onto this tripod.
