This is solid brass ceiling light fixture from First bank of Fithian in Fithian Illinois. The bank was established in 1895 and built their new building in 1912 (pictured). This light was an original from the 1912 building. The bank closed during the Great Depression and later served as a Post Office. In the 1940s the bank building was purchased for a private business and remodeled inside. Sometime prior to the 1940s these fixtures were painted and at some point, taken down, then were stored in the basement for the next 70 to 75 years. As can be seen in unrestored photos they were a complete mess. This fixture has been buffed on polishing wheel, hand polished and where the brass was stained beyond buffing was painted with matching high-quality paint. This fixture has new UL Approved original style cloth covered electrical wire, new high quality brass light bulb sockets and comes with three 300 lumens light bulbs. Each light measures 16 1/2" in diameter on base, approximately 12" from ceiling to bottom of tassel in center and each fixture weighs 13 lb. 10 oz. This beautiful unique fixture will give decades of trouble-free use. Please check photos as they are a large part of description. Any questions please contact me. Thanks for taking a look.

NOTE: There is a second light identical to this one in the process of being restored and will be available.
