These are two Maison Blue, 9 inch plates by Pfaltzgraff.  They are cream colored with a blue square and rooster along with blue flowers and a scalloped edge. Crafted from high-quality stoneware they are more than large enough for a large salad, but could be used as a small dinner plate at well. These are in good vintage condition.  1 plate has 2 chips on the backside of the plate, please see photos.  You will find some surface scratches, which might come off with a product like bar keepers friend.  The back of the plate has a back stamp which is impressed.  Made in the USA , introduced in 2001 and retired in December of the same year.
