Moulin Rouge was a historic casino and hotel located in the West Las Vegas neighborhood. It opened in 1955 and gained immense importance as the first integrated hotel and casino in Las Vegas, welcoming both Black and white patrons during a time of segregation. The Moulin Rouge quickly became a symbol of racial progress and cultural significance.

Despite its initial success, the Moulin Rouge faced financial challenges and closed after only a few months in operation. Over the years, there were attempts to revive the property, but they were largely unsuccessful. Despite its short-lived existence, the Moulin Rouge left a lasting impact on the city's history and the evolution of the Las Vegas Strip.
