Kerala Ayurveda Anu Thailam is an Ayurvedic herbal oil
used for nasal administration, known as Nasya. It is made with a base of

Dosage:
- Nasya should be done on an empty stomach in the morning after brushing and evacuating your bowels, 30 minutes before bath
- Massage your face and neck with a few drops of sesame oil, avoiding the eyes
- Place a towel over a medium-hot pan till it is slightly warm. Check the temperature and apply it over the face and neck
- Lie on your bed, extend your hands and legs, and keep a pillow under
your head. Ensure there is not too much sunlight or wind entering the
room
- Place a container nearby to spit out excess mucus. Place Anu Thailam in a warm bowl of water
- After a few minutes, take out the thailam and check that it is sufficiently hot
- Instil 1-2 drops of these Ayurvedic nasal drops in each nostril, and continue lying down, face up
- When the medicine reaches your throat, spit out the excess mucus
- Do not do Nasya when you have a high body temperature or a cold
