Urine Diverter for Composting Toilet.
Urine Separator: Separates urine from solid waste

This item sits on the edge of a 5 gallon bucket. It separates and drains urine into a standard 1 gallon milk or water container that is placed inside of the bucket.  Note that this listing includes ONLY the urine diverter.  You will need to purchase a standard 5 gallon bucket, 1 gallon milk jug, and garbage bags separately. You will also need a toilet seat supported by a frame or structure that sits above the 5 gallon bucket. (see the example in the last 3 pictures).

For use in a composting toilet setup, first place the milk container in the bucket, then place a garbage bag in the bucket. Carefully make a hole in the garbage bag to allow urine to pass into the gallon jug. Then place the spout of the urine diverter into the gallon container.  To compost waste, garbage bags that are compostable may be used.  Please remember to empty the gallon container frequently.

Note that this diverter does NOT work with camp toilet seats that snap onto a 5 gallon bucket. It is necessary to have a separate structure to support the toilet seat. (not included)

**Note that the empty 1 gallon milk container and garbage bags are also NOT included.
