Up for sale is a wonderful antique 19th century jasper ware writing inkwell stand.
It features a carved burl wooden footed base with ornate bronze appliqués fastened with bronze studs.
The stand is equip with two blue and white jasper ware porcelain medallions on the side of the removable inkwell.
Its hinged inkwell is very large, made of thick glass, and sits recessed into the base.
The piece is in nice antique condition, has acquired a lovely patina for age, and measures 13 inches long by 9 3/4 inches wide by 5 1/2 inches tall.
There is a hairline crack to one of the porcelain medallions and a chip to the inkwell as shown in the last photo.
