I've been going through over 300 Beanie Babies with my 31 year friend who is 82 years old who's wife, Cynthia, recently passed at age 76(I think). She was a BB fanatic from day one and collected them to the end.
They lived in a smoke free home, and a lot of them, including Splash, were stored in dust free, locked, plexiglass display cases (see photo) and never played with. Note the lower section of the case pictured is still locked, but I'd removed the upper lock already before taking the photo.
This rare Korean Splash the Orca whale Beanie Baby, with PVC pellets and Waterlooville and Nürnberg tag addresses, is in mint condition... literally.
Black is very hard to photograph but hopefully you can see Splash has no markings, no soiled or matted fabric, and the black is unfaded and not full of lint or fuzz. The white underside is clean as brand new, no wear or darkening... just like it came out of it's original package. There are no loose threads and the seams are tight. It's really spotless.
The Korean hang tag is also mint with not a single crease or mark and no edge wear whatsoever on the gold border... it literally looks brand new.
Splash's Korean tush tag is in the same mint condition. It is very white, not soiled or yellowed. The tags have no writing on them or any sign of an old price tag location, etc.
Tush tag has what some say are rare errors, but in my research they are fairly common, being that of the missing period after P.V.C , and Oakbrook supposedly should be Oak Brook. Perhaps they're rare, but I'm not a Beanie expert. Please feel free to message me with any questions about these very well preserved tags.
