Vintage original 1940’s dress black heavy satin dress with amazing details

Stunning sleeve, with gathered sleeve head and separate sleeve frill running along the back on the sleeve. I haven’t seen a detail like this before, very unique.

Fastens with metal poppers at size seam and at back there are covered button but poppers underneath.

The belt is attached at the side seam and has a long sash detail which can be tied into a bow.

There is a very deep hem so the dress can be made longer and more dramatic if needed. The deep hem is also a lovely detail if left as is.

The neckline is also very unique and has a bias cut drill lined in peppermint green velvet.

Really wonderful condition, especially for the age.
