Beautiful patina on this lovely hand carved mahogany (?) of edelweiss flowers and leaves, against a lattice as shown on the top. The flowers have a different veneer of lighter wood on top to accentuate and highlight the flowers on the top and the front of box.  The music box works perfectly. Not so expertly carved (😉) on the bottom is the name of a previous owner with date of Nov 1975.  Note one foot has had a corner trimmed, probably to facilitate  the winding of the music box. The inside is lined with dark green velvet, appears original.  No cracks or damage noted, no othef type of damage either, really pristine condition.
