Andy Warhol Rare Original 1956 In the Bottom of My Garden Self-Published Book

This original self-published promotional book of offset lithographs was created by Andy Warhol in 1956. Entitled "In The Bottom of My Garden" the book comes directly from the artist's estate. While there is no text, the title is a quippy reference to "There are Fairies at the Bottom of Our Garden" a lyric from a song well known in New York's gay community at the time. Most of the illustrations show little putti frolicking mischievously. The book features 20 illustrations, one of which is hand-colored. This is a unique opportunity to purchase a self-published book from Warhol’s personal collection.

Proceeds directly benefit the non-profit charitable organization he founded with the mission to advance the visual arts. Since its inception in 1987, The Andy Warhol Foundation has been a stalwart advocate for freedom of expression, supporting work that is experimental and challenging in nature and from communities that have been historically marginalized.
