This 1725 French copper engraving bookplate comes from Constantin de ‎RENNEVILLE's

‎"Recueil des voyages qui ont servi à l'établissement et aux progrez de la Compagnie des Indes Orientales, formée dans les Provinces-Unies des Païs-Bas - published in Rouen."

This map is from the time when British and French, West & East India Companies were exploring potential trade routes and sources of merchandise as each fought for trade dominance.
