This is a re-listing. A matching hat was found and added. The description was edited.

This costume is for Tibetan male adult. Made in 1960’s in Shanghai, China, by professional costume makers. Originally for performing on stage or celebrating parades. Well sewed in all the corners, joints and edges. Good quality. 100% authentic. Can be wore on Tibetan holidays, parties or for your street snapshots!

Here I have listed 24 pictures. The main material of the green robe might be cotton or linens. The decorative borders of the robe are faux fur lining with white faux fur, and woven ribbons of typical Tibetan color combinations. The white top and blue pants look like made of silk or polyester. The purple part of the hat is velvet decorated with woven glittering ribbons. Inside the hat is fully lined. The visor is real fur, I think.

This set of 4 pieces are new with original tags. Never wore or washed. White top may look color off due to being kept in storage for many years. The matching number 33620 can be found in each of the four pieces.

Measurements:

Robe is 54 inches long, 27 inches between armpits, the full bottom edge around is 89 inches.

Pants is 44 inches long, waist is 32 inches.

White top is 27 inches long, 22 inches between armpits.

Hat is 23 inches in circle. Visor is 4.5x6 inches.

Inside the collar of the robe and inside the waist of the pants you can see the manufacturer tags. This factory in Shanghai has a long history from 1956 or earlier. It was famous specifically for Chinese opera costumes in the beginning. The top tailors made costumes for top performers in Shanghai. They developed to meet the needs of more variety of stage performances. Minority costumes became very popular since then. The print sign in the last picture gives the information of the main areas in China that Tibetan people live, but not just that. Tibetan New Year is called Losar. Next Losar will be on Friday 28- Sunday March 2 2025.
