Pristine copy of this legendary book. Brand new, has never been opened! There are some small tears on the stocking as you can see from the pics but you can tell by how flat the stocking is positioned, no waviness at all, that the stocking has never been removed and therefore the book has never been opened. Even has bar code sticker still in its place.
If you searched "Elmer Batters" on eBay then chances are you already know how amazing this man's work is. I have been collecting his books (really theres only 2 books) but mostly his original magazines from the 50s to late 70s, some of these magazines sell for almost $200, if you can even find them. Having this book is the next best thing as it shows a large selection of some of his best work and at a higher quality that could have ever been printed in those glossy magazines back in the day. The book is big and heavy and feels fantastic in your arms or on a coffee table. Once you take the nylon stocking off you will see and feel the hardcover which is covered in a kind of 70s sofa fabric/texture, just amazing. Home run for Taschen.
